Comments From The Chief

The Warren Police Department hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Summer/Fall!

With Winter Sports and School in Session, please take care and give yourself a little extra time driving.  With Basketball Games now at Warren High School there will be more children/adults walking from their cars, homes etc. to the School.  Please Remember there are 4 way stop signs at both intersections by the School on Jefferson Street (Jefferson Street & S. Water Street and also W. Jefferson Street & Chestnut Street).  Just a couple of minutes could be the difference between a life or injury/death.  Please drive with caution and watch for pedestrians and other vehicles.  Remember it is ILLEGAL to pass a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and the stop arm out.

If you have any concerns, you may reach me at (815)745-2418 Monday through Friday.  We have officers working at night and on the weekends and if they are not in the office please leave a message and they will contact you.  If you need an officer for a non-emergency please call (815)745-2218.  If you have an EMERGENCY please call 911.

The Full-Time Officers for the Department are Chief Bryan Bohnsack, Sgt. Luke Barker and Patrolman Aaron Smith.  We also have 10 Part-Time Officers and 1 civilian in the Department.
